Aquaculture

This was one of the most important local industries built about twenty years ago. It was one of the prides of the local administration and it was exporting fishes in the whole Mediterranean area. I have never been inside the structure while it was working but it didn’t last so long. In fact it was closed about seven years ago and nature is already claiming it back. The plot is in one of the most important area of the coast, a swamp (margio) in which birds stop to rest in their long trip from and back to Africa.
